Fešta mladega vina 2026: young Istrian wine in Svetvinčenat

In Svetvinčenat on 24 October, Štriga Trail starts at 10 am and the wine showcase at 4 pm. Chef Antonio Brajković will cook game dishes alongside the wines.

A wine showcase after the autumn harvest

At Fešta mladega vina, winemakers present wines from the new harvest, still early in their development. You can taste wines from different producers and compare their approaches to the same vintage. In Svetvinčenat, this gathering has marked the end of the vineyard year for decades, with attention also given to young winemakers.

This year, 17 Istrian winemakers will present their wines: Babos, Baćac, Bruno Ferenac, Černeka, Dean, Familija Matošević, Gobo, Fuhtar, In Sylvis, Marčeta, Matić, OPG Mila, Radanović, Roce, Roveria, Siljan and Vivoda. Expert judging of the young Malvasia wines has already taken place in cooperation with sommelier Emil Perdec. The winner will be announced at the festival.

For this year’s Wine & Gourmet programme, chef Antonio Brajković and the hosts of Izletište Pekići will prepare game dishes. The young wine showcase takes place in the MPC, the former community hall, while the trail run and cycling event start earlier on Placa square.

Saturday 24 October: schedule

• 10:00: Štriga Trail, Placa square.
• 13:00: cycling event starts, Placa square.
• 14:00: pljočke stone-throwing and slingshot tournaments, Žlinja.
• 16:00 to 22:00: young wine showcase and tasting, MPC.
• 17:30: performance by the Savičenta cultural association.
• 18:00: cooking show featuring game dishes.
• 19:00: award for the best young Malvasia.
• 20:00: concert by Antonio Krištofić and his band.

Admission, tasting and cycling

Admission to the wine showcase costs €5. Tasting glasses are sold for €15, game dishes for €10 and desserts for €3.

You can register for the cycling event on the day from 11:30 at the Loža. The €10 entry fee includes lunch, and the first 50 registrants receive an event T-shirt. Riders are expected back around 16:00.
