Hotel Kaštel in Motovun
Kaštel occupies a 17th-century palace on Motovun’s main square. Rooms overlook the old town or the landscape of the Mirna valley.
Panoramic rooms and a separate house
The hotel has 33 rooms. Superior rooms with panoramic views measure 16 to 26 m² and have a double bed or twin beds, plus a bathroom with a shower. Balconies belong to a separate category of exclusive rooms, so a panoramic view does not mean a balcony.
For an alternative to a hotel room, you can choose the separate Poli Kaštela house.
Dining and relaxation at the hotel
Standard overnight rates for 2026 include breakfast. The restaurant prepares Istrian dishes such as beef fillet with black truffles and gnocchi with rocket and seeds. You can eat indoors or on the terrace beneath chestnut trees, beside the start of the walk along the town walls.
The wellness area has a covered pool with hydromassage and waterfalls, plus a garden with loungers. Saunas and massages are also available. Overnight rates for 2026 include use of the pool.
Parking and arriving with luggage
Kaštel stands at the top of Motovun’s old town and cannot be reached in your own car. Parking is charged, and hotel guests can buy a discounted day ticket. Transfers from the car park to the hotel must be arranged in advance. Let the hotel know if you will arrive after 6 pm.
