ISTRAVIRGIN 2026: young Istrian olive oils in Vodnjan

At ISTRAVIRGIN in Vodnjan, taste young Istrian olive oils from the 2026 harvest on 20–22 November. The programme also includes talks and food.

The 20th Young Olive Oil Days take place at Istarska ulica 16, shortly after the harvest. It is a chance to taste oils made from different varieties and by different producers side by side, while the character of the new harvest is at its clearest.

Tasting the new harvest

Fruitiness, bitterness and pungency are easier to distinguish when oils are compared at the same table. Visitors can ask the growers about varieties and production, and get to know some of Istria’s olive mills and oil producers through their latest oils.

From tasting to cooking

The three-day programme includes guided tastings, masterclasses, expert talks, food events and olive oil sales. Alongside discovering different flavours, visitors can learn how the oil is made and how it is used in cooking.
