The set blends improvised jazz and blues with emotive sevdah and a few well-known hits from the Western Balkans. Duraković puts the playlist together “on the fly,” so the audience is often caught off-guard by an unexpected turn—anything from a classic sevdalinka to a swing riff or a funky detour.

Kamene Priče — an intimate Istrian jazz tavern in Bale

If one night isn’t enough, Mostar Sevdah Reunion—synonymous with sevdah and world-fusion—takes the stage again on Friday, 27 June, at Pula’s Kaštel (8 p.m.). It’s another chance to experience sevdah-fusion under the open sky, this time in the monumental setting of the fortress above Pula.
