Throne Theater Jazz House Night
On Saturday, September 6, starting at 6 p.m., LD Events and the konoba Kamene Priče are preparing an evening that brings together two musical worlds: jazz improvisation and an electronic pulse. The event is called Throne Theater Jazz House Night, and three local DJs – Ludens, Selmar and Kala tech – will guide the audience through the rhythm.
Jazz and house: meeting of two traditions
Jazz-house, a hybrid born from the spontaneity of improvisation and the discipline of electronic production, encourages listeners to take part. House rhythms, rooted in gospel and soul, rely on a solid bass line and repetitive structures, while jazz thrives on the freedom of phrasing and mutual listening. When combined in the same space, these genres reveal similarities: grooves that never stop, harmonies that open and close, and an emphasis on communication. Throne Theater Jazz House Night aims to explore these parallels without spectacle – music is in the foreground, and the audience gets to hear new textures in a setting where acoustic jazz is otherwise an everyday occurrence.
Three DJs – three musical signatures
The musical flow of the evening is entrusted to three DJs who share a love of vinyl, electronic music and the scene in Bale. Ludens, Selmar and Kala tech are known for exploring a wide range of styles in their sets – from classic deep house and funk to contemporary offshoots of jazz-house. Each brings their own selection of records, experience from local performances and different influences. The joint performance is conceived as a dialogue: instead of playing one after another, their musical speech will continue and complement what came before, creating an unbroken story throughout the evening.
The konoba as a listening room
Kamene Priče is much more than an ordinary konoba. The space is designed to encourage listening: stone walls and wooden galleries create an intimate atmosphere, and the stage is within reach. Throne Theater Jazz House Night will not change the familiar character of the konoba, but will supplement it. The sound system is adapted to electronic music, but the emphasis is on intimacy and interaction between performers and audience. The fact that the event takes place in the historic surroundings of Bale highlights the contrast between tradition and contemporary rhythms, showing that the space can open itself to new experiences without losing its identity.
Support the community through music
Admission to Throne Theater Jazz House Night is free, and a donation box will be placed at the entrance. The organisers remind us that the musical scene of a place is built through solidarity – every contribution helps maintain programmes and brings new artists to Bale. The invitation to dance and listen applies to everyone; come on time, let the rhythm lead you through the evening and support local culture.
