Nu Genea is the project of Neapolitan musicians and DJs Massimo Di Lena and Lucio Aquilina, authors who have built their own language between funk, disco, soul, house, boogie, jazz and Mediterranean musical traces. Their breakthrough did not come from a single radio hit, but from patient work with rhythm, old records, studio production and collaborations with musicians from different backgrounds. The album Bar Mediterraneo confirmed their recognisable sound: warm bass lines, a dance pulse, a Neapolitan linguistic and melodic layer, and the feeling that club music can carry the scent of coast, harbour and late summer. The 2026 album People of the Moon expands that world toward new languages and collaborations while keeping what makes Nu Genea instantly recognisable: rhythm that relies not only on electronics, but on live instruments, vocal phrases and groove that develops gradually. In live band format, this music is not just a DJ selection; it gains body, band dynamics and space to move between dance energy and concert listening.

Giu Nunez, nemanja and Tommiboy

The Pula night has a wider Velvet frame. Brazilian DJ Giu Nunez connects boogie, funk and eclectic dance selections, nemanja live brings Croatian psychedelic funk and afrobeat with an original signature, and Tommiboy closes the Mediterranean club part of the programme.
