Zoran Predin performs Zoran pjeva Arsena in Pula, a concert dedicated to the songs of Arsen Dedić, with Damirov Django Group.

The concert takes place at the Small Roman Theatre on Tuesday, 11 August 2026, starting at 21:00. This is the new date for the Pula performance, and tickets bought for the earlier date remain valid.

Arsen's songs through Predin's voice

Arsen Dedić is not a songwriter whose work can be reduced to melodies recognised after the first few bars. His songs need a performer who understands the relationship between words, irony, urban melancholy and very exact musical measure. Zoran Predin does not approach this repertoire as a neutral singer of someone else's songs. As a singer-songwriter with his own textual signature, stage phrasing and experience between chanson, rock and a cabaret tone, he can bring Dedić's songs closer to the audience without imitating the originals. That is the key difference between a tribute concert and an authored interpretation: the audience hears Dedić's songs, but through Predin's voice, spoken rhythm and attention to the line. Damirov Django Group gives the concert an additional musical frame rooted in jazz, swing and gypsy jazz, so familiar songs can gain a softer pulse, a stronger string or guitar accent and more space for instrumental commentary.

Performers and new date

Zoran Predin is joined by Damirov Django Group, an ensemble named after Damir Kukuruzović, the Croatian jazz guitarist associated with manouche and gypsy jazz traditions. The arrangements with Predin are signed by Damir Kukuruzović and violinist Bruno Urlić. The concert has moved to 11 August; tickets bought for the original date remain valid.
