Carmina Burana + at Pula Arena combines Orff's stage cantata, choir, orchestra, ballet, soloists and video mapping in a production by SNG Opera in balet Ljubljana.

The programme is not shaped as a concert performance with orchestra and choir simply standing before the audience. It is a full stage production in which music, movement, light and video mapping connect with the figure of Everyman and the game of Fortune.

What is being performed

In the center is Orff's Carmina Burana, but the plus sign in the title is not a decoration: the program also includes selected parts from Orff's triptych Trionfi, i.e. from the works Catulli Carmina and Trionfo di Afrodite. The evening is therefore more than a performance of the cantata's best-known numbers; it is an expanded encounter with Orff's stage world.

Authors and performance

SNG Opera in balet Ljubljana performs with choir, ballet, orchestra, soloists and dancers. Manfred Schweigkofler directs and stage concept, Marko Hribernik conducts, and Lukas Zuschlag choreographs the dancers.

Accommodation in Bale
