The first Thursday of the festival connects the morning screening of the film Srećo moja in Cinema Valla and the evening opening in the Arena with the film Svadba by Igor Šeregi.

At the beginning of the 73rd Pula Film Festival, the audience can watch two clearly separated dates: the film My Happiness in the Valla Cinema and the Wedding in the Pula Arena. The wedding was highlighted in the official program as the opening film, after a great cinema success in Croatia and the region.

Wedding as opening film

Igor Šeregi's wedding was not accidentally staged in the Arena on the first night of the festival. The official festival materials point out that it is one of the most watched films in the history of Croatian cinemas, with a great regional resonance and an audience that brought the domestic film back to the mass cinema space. For a visitor who chooses only one screening on that date, the evening Wedding means entering the festival through a title that already has a strong relationship with the audience, while the morning screening of Srećo moja at Kino Valla gives a calmer start to the day and a different rhythm than the ceremonial evening in the Arena.
