When the sun reaches its highest point and day and night almost touch, Višnjan becomes the heart of science, music, and mysticism.

About the event

Astrofest is a unique celebration of the summer solstice. It takes place at the Višnjan Observatory (Tičan) from June 21 at 17h and goes on all night, concluding with sunrise on June 22 at 5h

The festival features talks by renowned experts – including meteorologist Zoran Vakula, legendary astronomer and educator Korado Korlević, and many more scientists.

Throughout the afternoon and evening, a variety of science workshops will be held for children and youth, while several DJs will create a musical atmosphere from dusk until dawn.

Organized by the Observatory, this event also relies on more than a hundred volunteers whose energy, dedication, and enthusiasm drive the entire programme.
