Cvilidreta starts from the familiar fairy-tale motif of a girl who can spin straw into gold, but Teatar Naranča shapes the story around a clear conflict between trust, greed and responsibility. At the centre is a kingdom burdened by debt, a young prince who relies on his servant and adviser Cvilidreta, and a girl whose miraculous gift can change the fate of the whole land. Behind Cvilidreta's apparent loyalty lies a plan to seize the crown and the most precious thing the prince and the girl have. For children, this is a tense story with a direct question of justice: can deceit be exposed, and can greed remain without consequences? For accompanying adults, the interest lies in the way the staging translates an old fairy tale into a readable stage situation, with characters who are not merely signs of good or evil, but drivers of action that children can follow through danger, play and reversal.
