2. Bembo fest - theatrical performance
The play Do You Speak Croatian? was first performed in 1994. So far, it has been performed about 600 times on stages in more than 55 countries all over the world.
Through the selection and dramaturgy of the texts, the author wanted to question the necessity of the value of his own language in the rush of globalization, which penetrates more and more into the territory of Croatia, and therefore the Croatian language, and in the work one can hear texts by Ivoš Marko Marulić, Marin Držić, August Šenoa, Tin Ujević, Josip Prudeus, Antun Gustav Matoš, Josip Pupačić, Jure Franičević Pločar, Slavko Mihalić, Viktor Vida, Vinko Nikolić, Baška Plateau and Šibenik Prayer.
