Cromaris in Rovinj sells fresh farmed fish and fish delicacies. With Valalta Discount next door, you can combine fish shopping with your other groceries.

Cromaris farms sea bass and sea bream in the Adriatic, giving this shop a different role from the municipal fish market at Valdibora. At the Cromaris branch you choose products from one producer; the municipal fish market has several sellers and its range includes wild-caught fish. You do not need to go into Rovinj’s old centre to buy Cromaris fish.

Fish origin and traceability

The producer tracks its fish from the hatchery and fish farms through processing to the point of sale. The LOT code on the product connects information about farming, processing and delivery. This is a tangible advantage of labelled fish: its origin means more than a general claim that it is “local”.

The branch is at Giordano Paliaga 8, next to Valalta Discount.
