Kozlović Winery in Momjan: Malvasia, Teran and tastings

The Kozlović family has made wine in Momjan since 1904. The newer part of the winery opened in 2012 and is connected to the original family cellar. Three tasting programmes are available in 2026, all requiring advance booking.

Malvasia, Teran and the Santa Lucia vineyard

The range covers fresh releases, selections and wines intended for longer ageing. Local varieties include Malvasia Istriana, Teran and Muscat Momiano; grapes from Santa Lucia also go into Malvasia and Teran that spend several years maturing in the cellar.

At Vinistra 2026, Santa Lucia Malvazija 2019 scored 97 points and was named the best aged Malvasia Istriana. Santa Lucia Teran 2018 received a platinum medal.

Three tasting programmes for 2026

• Tour & Terrace Tasting lasts 90 minutes and includes the production areas, bottling line and cellars, five wines and seasonal local bites. The price is €50 per person.
• Kozlović Excellence is a seated tasting of six wines with small cold and warm dishes, without a cellar tour. It lasts 90 minutes and costs €60 per person.
• Kozlović Private Tasting is designed for groups of up to eight adults. Six wines, a cellar tour and seasonal bites are served over 150 minutes. The price is €800 per group.

The wine selection changes with the season and availability, so an award-winning bottle is not automatically included in every tasting.

Booking, languages and the winter pause

Tastings are conducted in Croatian, Italian or English; an interpreter can be arranged only in advance. The winery and wine shop are open Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 20:00, Saturday from 12:00 to 20:00 and closed on Sunday.

The shop remains open during winter, but tours and tastings pause. Opening hours are therefore not a confirmed tasting slot: book before setting out, particularly during busy periods or when private events are scheduled.
