Trapan Winery in Šišan produces biodynamic wines and welcomes visitors for guided tastings. Guests can choose five or seven wines, with a cellar tour and optional food pairings.
Biodynamic wines from southern Istria
The vineyard lies close to the winery. Pruning, harvesting and grape selection are done by hand, while the cellar favours minimal intervention. The current range includes several styles of Malvasia, Teran, rosé, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, sparkling wine and cuvées.
What a tasting includes
The standard tasting covers five wines and the extended option seven; MOIA can be added by arrangement. A visit includes a tour of the cellar. Focaccia, cheese, olive oil, Istrian prosciutto, seafood and other items from the current food menu can be booked alongside the wines. Vineyard visits are available only by special request and prior arrangement.
