Tonin in Vodnjan: a family olive mill and Buža extra virgin olive oil
The Pastrovicchio family cultivates six hectares of olive groves around Vodnjan, with about 1,200 trees, and processes the harvest in its own olive mill. Tonin’s single-varietal Buža extra virgin olive oil features in Flos Olei 2026, where Tonin received 96 out of 100 points.
The groves lie on terra rossa at 130 to 150 metres above sea level. The family grows Buža, Karbonaca and Moražola, and its tasting room at Istarska 28 welcomes groups of up to 20 people.

The 96-point score follows 95 points in the previous edition. Tonin’s extra virgin olive oil also won a gold medal at the 2025 International Agricultural Fair in Novi Sad.
Their own olive mill since 2005
Olives from the family groves have been processed in Tonin’s own modern mill since 2005.
Tastings at Istarska 28
The tasting room accommodates groups of up to 20 people and offers free parking. It is open daily from 10 am to 6 pm, and group visits are best arranged in advance by email.
