Fiore: award-winning extra virgin olive oil from Krnjaloža

Run by the Mirković family, Fiore produces extra virgin olive oil in Krnjaloža near Vodnjan. The farm was named champion at the 32nd Istrian Olive Oil Show in 2026 and is particularly associated with oils made from Istarska bjelica and Vodnjan Buža.

Istarska bjelica, Vodnjan Buža and the family groves

The groves contain about 1,100 trees at 78 to 110 metres above sea level. Some are inherited family trees over a century old; alongside Vodnjan Buža and Istarska bjelica, the Mirković family grows Leccino, Pendolino, Karbonaca and Rošinjola.

Fiore's single-varietal oils made from Istarska bjelica and Vodnjan Buža have won awards, as have the family's blends. The range shifts with each harvest, so it is worth checking which oils are available for tasting and purchase before visiting.

Champion in Vodnjan in 2026

Fiore was named champion at the 32nd Istrian Olive Oil Show, held in Vodnjan on 11 April 2026. Among its earlier distinctions, the single-varietal Istarska bjelica stands out: it received five Gocce d'Oro and the Lode di Eccellenza at L'Oro del Mediterraneo 2023, then placed second among medium-fruity single-varietal oils at L'Oro di Istria the same year.
