Lucio Toffetti: extra virgin olive oil from Vodnjan

Lucio Toffetti Family Farm in Vodnjan grows five olive varieties on around 300 trees. Its Buža oil received four Golden Drops and Special Merit in 2023.

Five varieties and a single-variety Buža olive oil

The olive trees grow in red soil at approximately 115 metres above sea level. The grove includes Buža, Rosinjola, Karbonaca, Istarska bjelica and Leccino. At the 2023 Zlato Istre competition, Toffetti's single-variety extra virgin olive oil made from Buža received four Golden Drops and a Special Merit distinction in the medium-fruity category.
