At Bembo in Bale, homemade pasta is served with veal ragù or game sauce. Fish and meat dishes are also available, including platters for two.
You can start with Istrian maneštra. Veal ragù comes with a choice of fuži or gnocchi, while pljukanci are also available with game sauce. The pljukanci can also be ordered with asparagus and traditional sausage, or mushrooms and prosciutto. The cheese-filled ravioli are served in truffle sauce.
Tuna, sea bream and squid can be ordered as individual dishes, as can ombolo or a mixed grill. Fish and meat platters for two are also available.
Bembo on San Zuian
The konoba is run by Siniša Rubil, whose business dates back to 2003. Bembo is on San Zuian, a few minutes' walk from Soardo-Bembo Castle and Bale's old town.
