Avtokamp Strunjan: touring pitches beside the salt pans

Eight to ten pitches at Avtokamp Strunjan are for touring motorhomes and caravans. Tents are accommodated on higher ground.

The area for caravans and motorhomes has around 150 pitches in total, most used by long-stay guests. For a short stay, the management allocates a pitch after check-in at reception, with no advance reservations. The separate terraces have room for around 50 tents, overlooking the salt pans and Strunjan Bay.

The campsite welcomes guests all year. The shared sanitary facilities have heating and air conditioning, as well as an accessible toilet. You can wash clothes in the campsite’s washing machine.

Additional charges

Registration and tourist tax are charged separately. You can choose a 6 A or 10 A electricity connection, for a daily fee. Dogs also incur an extra charge and must be kept on a lead on the campsite.

The coast of the Strunjan peninsula

The campsite is beside the salt pans. The shore of Strunjan Bay is reached on foot. On the northern side of the peninsula is Mesečev zaliv, a natural beach below a flysch cliff. Access includes a steep path with stone steps, and there is a risk of rockfalls beneath the cliff.
