Škaraba beach
Škaraba is a rocky bathing area on the southern side of Rovinj's forest park. Large, relatively flat stone slabs descend towards the sea, while the seabed close to shore is covered with stones and pebbles.
The stone slabs provide room for a towel and sunbathing, while entering the water calls for a carefully chosen approach. Rock can be slippery after waves. A nearby cove with a gentler approach is a better option for small children and less confident swimmers.
Reaching Škaraba through the forest park
Gravel paths connect Škaraba with Zlatni rt, making walking or cycling the practical way to arrive. Cars must remain outside the protected area. Motor traffic, open fires and damage to vegetation are not permitted, and all waste should be taken away.
