Lunga

Lunga feels less like a single small cove than an elongated sequence of pebble sections and stone shelves. Along the coast, visitors can choose between an easier entry into the water and a more separate place on rock.

Its open position brings stronger sun, wind and waves. That gives Lunga more air than enclosed coves, but it also makes checking conditions important and means shade or services should not be assumed.

The changing rhythm of the natural shore is its most interesting quality. It would quickly be lost if vehicle access kept expanding, so the final part of the journey is best completed on foot.
