Munte Beach in Premantura: shore and sea access

Munte in Premantura has a stone-paved terrace by the sea and a pebbly section. Pines behind the shore offer shade for a break from sunbathing.

On Premantura's eastern coast, the approach to Munte leads through a pine grove, followed by broad steps with a handrail down to the beach. A retaining wall borders the southern side of the paved sunbathing area, with pines growing behind it.

From the paved section, steps with a handrail lead into the sea. At the southeastern end of the beach, the surface changes to pebbles.

In October 2026, representatives of the Kamenjak Public Institution and SUMSI, the federation of associations of young people and students with disabilities, discussed further adaptations at Munte. They considered ways of entering the sea and locations for an accessible toilet and changing room. The existing facilities do not mean that the entire route to the sea is suitable for independent wheelchair access.

For more coastal exploring beyond Munte, Premantura is also a starting point for Kamenjak, where walking and cycling trails complement the swimming coves.
