Hotel Materada beach in Poreč: pebbles and paved sunbathing areas
Small pebble stretches break up the rocky shore below Hotel Materada in Poreč. Paved sunbathing areas and steps into the sea line the coast.
The beach occupies the small peninsula below Hotel Materada Plava Laguna, north of Poreč's old town. Local residents swim here alongside hotel guests. Materada Sjever beach, in Sveti Martin bay farther north, is a separate bathing area.
Into the water over pebbles or down steps
On the smaller pebble stretches, you walk over pebbles into the sea. Steps provide access along the rocky and paved sections, so your choice of a spot for your towel also determines how you enter the water.
Grassy areas lie behind the shoreline. Between swims, you can settle on the grass or the prepared surfaces beside the sea. A coastal path connects the bathing spots around the peninsula, and you cover the final approach to the water on foot.
Beach hire and a break by the sea
The beach has showers and changing cubicles. Sun loungers and parasols cost extra to hire, while bars and restaurants along the coast provide places for a drink or a meal during your visit.
The hotel pools occupy a separate area above the beach. Free poolside loungers are a benefit of a hotel stay, not free equipment hire on the seashore.
