Beaches at Krnica harbour: pebbles and the rocky north shore
A small pebble beach breaks up the rocky north shore of Krnica harbour. A gravel track leads from the port towards the houses by the water.
Krnički porat is a fishing harbour below Krnica, at the western entrance to Raša Bay. Fishermen moor their boats and unload their catch at the head of the inlet, while bathing spots continue along its northern shore.
From the harbour towards the houses
An asphalt road descends from Krnica through pine woodland to the harbour. From there, you continue on foot along a gravel track towards the houses by the shore.
There are benches and patches of natural shade beside the small pebble beach. The rocky stretches offer separate places to enter the sea, while the pebble shore gives access over smaller stones.
The seabed between neighbouring beaches
The snorkeling site extends from the small pebble shore past the first beach to the second neighbouring beach. Small stones in the shallows give way to larger boulders, then to a sandy bottom further into the inlet.
Cuttlefish and hermit crabs hide among the stones and algae. Below the second beach, at a depth of four metres, there is a colony of pillow coral. Sea urchins also live on the rocky bottom, so take care when entering over the rocks.
