Školjić Beach near Kavran: a small beach and rocky shores
Školjić near Kavran has a small pebble beach. Rocky ledges and inlets line the rest of the shore, with views towards Cres.
Beside the beach, the seabed starts with small pebbles that gradually give way to a rock platform. On the left side of the bay, looking out to sea, the rocks drop steeply into the water.
Getting there and the final descent
The beach is about 2.5 kilometres from Kavran. Several gravel tracks branch off the local road. The wider turn-off has roughly twenty metres of asphalt at the start, followed by an unpaved track. The final approach is a short concrete slope with rope handrails.
Clefts in the rocks
Along the shore is a small canyon with a stone pillar and another pebble beach among gold- and orange-toned rocks. Narrow passages and arches lie underwater. Entering tight openings carries a risk of getting trapped, so do not swim through them.
