Maestral Beach in Novigrad: a pebble shore below the hotel
Maestral is a pebble beach in Novigrad, curving between two breakwaters. Access to the sea is free, with Punto Mare beside the beach.
The beach and lawns behind it
The main beach lies south of the Aminess Vival Maestral Hotel. A paved path runs behind the crescent of pebbles, with lawns and trees extending towards the hotel. You can find shade on these lawns, separated from the beach by a low stone edge. Along neighbouring stretches of coast, pebbles alternate with rock.
Unlike the stone sunbathing terraces at Rivarela, here you can walk down to the sea over pebbles. The bathing area has showers and toilets.
From town, you can walk to the beach via Via Terre, the street running east of the hotel. At its southern end, a path continues towards the sea and the main beach.
Punto Mare and the hotel pools
Northwest of the main beach is Punto Mare, a separate tidal seawater bathing area with a sun terrace and bar. Loungers and parasols there cost extra. The hotel’s outdoor pools are beside the building and reserved for hotel guests. Free access to the beach does not include use of the hotel pools.
