Gortanova Bay in Pula: a pebble beach beside Lungomare
Gortanova Bay in Pula has a pebble beach with a gentle entry into the sea. Pines behind the shore offer shade beside the Lungomare coastal walk.
Pebbles in the centre, rocks at the edges
Choose the pebble section of the bay for a gentler entry into the water. Rocky shore continues on either side, so the footing and entry change at the edges of the main beach.
Between swims, you can retreat to the pines a few metres behind the shore. The bay is small, and space is limited in summer, particularly in the shaded spots.
Getting there along Lungomare
The bay lies outside Pula’s old town, on the coastal stretch between Valkane and Valsaline. Access is along Lungomare, which includes a one-way road. Pedestrians have a separate pavement.
The beach makes a swimming stop on the coastal walk: continue from Valkane past the bay towards Valsaline, passing pebble bathing coves and rocky stretches.
Address: Lungomare, 52100 Pula, Hrvatska
