Kanegra Beach: shingle coves below the holiday village
Kanegra has shingle coves below a holiday village in pine woodland. A separate naturist section lies beside the campsite of the same name.
On the coast of northwestern Istria, within the municipality of Buje, Kanegra has a series of small coves below an apartment complex. Pines grow between the accommodation and the sea, with rocky stretches interrupting the shingle shore. Water shoes are useful for entering the sea on this terrain.
Swimming beside the pine woodland
The seabed in the shingle coves slopes gradually into deeper water. Some space for sitting and lying down is beneath the pines, while the water’s edge is exposed to the sun.
The bathing area below the apartments is separate from the naturist section beside Camping Kanegra. Dogs are allowed on a designated part of the beach, rather than along the entire shore.
Reaching the beach through the complex
Short pedestrian paths lead down to the shore from the roads between the apartments. The map accompanying this article marks a shingle cove below the complex, not reception or a car park. The apartment complex has paid parking.
