Karpinjan Beach in Novigrad: pebbles, shallow water and pine shade
Karpinjan in Novigrad has a pebble shore and shallow water beside a belt of pines. A lit walking and cycling path leads to the beach from town.
Water access and shade
Most of the shore in the bay is landscaped and pebbly, while a smaller section retains its natural rocky edge. A broad strip of shallow water runs along the shore. Tall pines provide shade behind the beach.
There are showers and public toilets beside the beach, with sports courts and places to eat and drink nearby. There is no car traffic on the beach itself.
Getting there and parking
Karpinjan is about a kilometre from the town centre. A lit path connects the town and beach for walkers and cyclists. You can also drive to the bathing area and leave your car in the designated parking areas.
Karpinjan is in parking zone four. From 1 April to 31 October 2026, parking costs €1 per hour, while a 24-hour ticket costs €7. These seasonal rates cover parking, not admission to the beach.
