Montraker town beach in Vrsar
Montraker is a town beach on the peninsula north of Vrsar harbour. A coastal promenade links the pebble stretches, stone sunbathing areas and cape.
Steps lead into the sea beside the built sunbathing areas, while the pebble stretches offer entry from the shore. Natural rocky coast separates these sections. There is natural shade behind part of the beach, with a playground and showers beside the bathing area.
From the harbour in Vrsar, follow the coastal promenade to Montraker. It continues along the western side of the peninsula towards Punta Montraker, opposite the islet of Galiner. Beside a holm oak grove and a stone sculpture, a small gravel path leads to a concrete sunbathing platform with steps into the sea.
In the sea off the pebble beach at the entrance to the sports and recreation area, you can see the remains of an old loading pier. Stone from the Montraker quarry was shipped from here.
Boat traffic is busy around the cape. Stay within the marked bathing area when swimming or exploring underwater.
